Venue related:
Baseline: The long boundary line at both ends of the court. When serving, the player must stand behind the bottom line to serve.
Sideline: The short boundary line on both sides of the court, used to define whether the ball is out of bounds, and the ball falls within the sideline to be considered an effective shot.
Non-volley Zone (NVZ)/Kitchen area (Kitchen): An area within 2.13 meters (7 feet) from the net on both sides of the net. In this area, players are prohibited from hitting the ball directly without landing and rebounding. Touching the NVZ line is also considered a violation.
Rules related:
Double-Bounce Rule (Double-Bounce Rule): After serving, the receiving party needs to wait for the ball to land once before hitting back. The serving party also needs to wait for the ball to land twice before attacking. Violation of this rule is directly awarded a negative penalty.
Rally Scoring System (Rally Scoring): The winner of each round scores points, regardless of whether the party is the serving party in this round.
Sideout Scoring system (Sideout Scoring): Only the serving party can score if it wins, and the receiving party only gets the right to serve if it wins, and the scores of both parties remain the same.
Batting technique related:
Frontcourt lob (Dink): A light lob technique in front of the net that gently hits the ball to the opponent's non-volley area, mainly used to control the rhythm of the game.
Drive: Hit the ball vigorously in the center and backcourt, with fast speed and deep drop points, usually used to suppress opponents.
Backcourt lob (Drop): Lightly hanging from the middle of the backcourt to the front of the opponent's net, which can break the opponent's rhythm and make the opponent have to quickly step forward to catch the ball.
Pick the backcourt high ball (Lob): Hit the ball high near the opponent's bottom line, the purpose is to mobilize the opponent to retreat, thereby creating favorable offensive opportunities.
Related to special circumstances of the competition:
Fault: Violation of the rules leads to the end of the round, such as the serve touching the net, stepping on the line, etc. are all negligence.
Golden Pickle (Golden Pickle): Refers to the end of the game when the opponent has not scored and has not obtained the right to serve. This situation is relatively rare.

Equipment and site details terminology:
Sweet Spot (Sweet Spot):
Refers to the area near the center of the pickleball paddle surface. When hitting the ball in this area, it can minimize power loss, improve ball control stability, and reduce wrist vibration. When novices choose pickleball paddle, they give priority to styles with a large sweet area, which can reduce errors caused by the deviation of the batting position.
Racket Frame (Racket Frame):
The frame part of the pickleball paddle mainly plays a role in supporting the racket surface. The performance of different materials has different properties. For example, the carbon fiber frame is lightweight and rigid, which is suitable for advanced players; the aluminum alloy frame is cost-effective and collision-resistant, which is more suitable for novices. The high-quality frame will be rounded at the edges to avoid scratches during exercise.
Service Line (Service Line):
A horizontal line located between the bottom line of the court and the non-volley area (kitchen area). When serving, the ball must fall in the area surrounded by the opponent's court's serve line, the center line, and the sideline, otherwise it will be regarded as a serve error. In doubles matches, the serves must be alternately sent to the corresponding tee in a fixed order.
